Boulangerie 22, Magallanes Branch

After processing my siblings Italian citizenship documents at TIA, along Pasong Tamo, Ext., It's weird that their address says Magallanes, though I know Magallanes to be the village which was on the other side of SLEX.  I searched for a coffee place nearby through Zomato.

Boulangerie 22 came up which was just 5 minutes away of drive.  I took the jeepney towards Fort Bonifacio and got there in no time.  It was already passed 4 pm, the cafe seems gloomy since no one was there except for the two staff behind the counter.

Sugar Cookies Ala Martha Stewart with A Big Help from The Little Whisk and Memory Crafters

Sweet September is almost ending and its days really flew by just like that, too quick and planning the month was inevitable, or maybe my life is too damn complicated and crazy.

I always, rely on the thought that time management always gets many moms through their days. But, boy, no matter how I arrange my scheds, something always comes up and I've no option but to compromise my schedules.  My timetable, unlike other moms, even professional ones, isn't predictable and it becomes unmanageable everyday.

A Taste of Hong Kong 3

When the news broke about Ian Wright coming to Manila, I was like "for real!?!"  I mean, I still couldn't get over the event seeing Nigella Lawson in the flesh, here in Manila.

Shortly, flashes of him eating frozen elk meat or deer guts in Greenland, winding up alleys somewhere or catching fish barehanded and cooking it in open fire.  These are memorable moments seen from his globe-trotting times with Lonely Planet.  Lonely Planet was a show we used to watch some 15 years or so ago.

Taste of Spain, Spanish Cooking Class by Dona Elena

Two exceptional name in the culinary world joined hands to bring us a fun way of learning about Spanish cuisine.  Imagine yourself serving colorful, festive dishes such as Paella, Gazpacho and Sangria to your family or to a group of friends.  Amaze them with rich tasty dishes you can only get from expensive restaurants and tell them stories of how you have learned to prepare them, but first you need to get enlisted to  Cooking By The Bay at New World Manila Bay Hotel, the home of Modern Oriental Hospitality.

Five Things Why Dona Elena Olive Oil is in My Grocery List

I've grown to love olive oil not only because of the depth of flavor it brings to the dishes i cook at home, but more because of the many health benefits which science had proved it has.

EVOO, as how I would prefer to call it, and primarily use, is my secret to a youthful version of me. Did you know that for centuries, olive oil has been used to maintain the suppleness of skin and muscle, to heal abrasions, to give body and sheen to hair and soothe the drying effects of sun and wind.  My mother would always tell me that olive oil has been used in folk remedies in Italy, for an array of uses; strengthening weak nails, aiding in digestion, curing the effects of alcohol consumption, relieving aching muscles, lowering blood pressure and many other uses.  She would tell me how an old Italian lady would suggest her to take a tablespoon of it when she feels heavy on the tummy, like when having constipation.

The Youngest of the Pack is Now Eleven

Eleven...

I'm not talking about the inexplicable character in Stranger Things, the trending Netflix series.  It's now my daughter's age.  As she turned a year higher than ten, I can see that she will achieve what she aspires for even at an early age.  Being the youngest, she had been "the" go-to girl for everything. You know as in all her siblings order her to do this and that - from getting their stuff, cleaning around, and yes, down to the intensely emotional act of injecting insulin to her older sister (well in an exaggerated manner of me telling).

The Missing Cheese

You might think of a mystery novel when you saw the title of this blog.

Something like The Case of the Missing Cheese by blank blank.

Where my introduction would seemingly sound like...

Marco Polo Davao: A Class of it's Own

Davao City, said to be the safest city in Mindanao, was hit with a terrible terrorism attack weeks ago.  Heartbreaking news of people not surviving the bombing have been the hot topic in the news for a week since it happened.  However, I still think it still has that charm to bring people in the city despite the saddening news.

French Gastrono-meat at Atelier Vivanda Manila

Whenever I see the French word "atelier," The first thing that comes to mind is design.  Webster dictionary defines it as an artist's or designer's studio or workroom.  So, it did intrigued me when I first heard of this French bistro.

At first, I thought it's all about French cuisine flare and a resto interior that has a boutique-feel to it.
Then came the time that I'd finally had a feel and taste of this talked-about bistro in Burgos Circle, which happens to have earned  two Michelin star.

Pursuing Passion Without Getting Broke

Take it from me, NOW IS THE TIME TO INVEST!

My mother used to motivate us into saving money in the bank as early as 12 years old. She opened up a bank account for me and my sister and promised us that she will double it if we would not spend the money in it when she comes back from working in Milan, Italy.

That simple deed fostered a savers attitude in me and I'm glad I was able to pass it on to my kids. But hey, the season we live in, where modern amenities and adverts rule, money tends to disappear in one click.  I have to admit, college was my introduction to a life of spending pleasure, when malls started to sprung in every city and weekend sales were something to look forward to.

Limited Edition MasterChef Knives at Rustan's Supermarket

Any foodie who loves to cook definitely know the hit reality TV cooking programs, MasterChef US and MasterChef Australia.  If not then shame on him or her!  Just kidding!

Talking about the shows, do you notice the most talked about white apron?  The only apron which MasterChef participants would don during the show and would take off as a sign of not being able to make it to the competition.  What would you do if I tell you, you don't need to be a participant to get one?  You can thank me later after you've read the whole article.

But here is a way better news for you, not only are the aprons available but MasterChef knives too.

The First Philippine Matcha Festival at Resorts World Manila

I'm sold!

I have actually joined the bandwagon and I'm now a true matcha-lover convert.  And my 11-year old daughter is so ecstatic.  Our Danica used to be the only matcha-lover in the family.  The mosaic taste of matcha used to gross me out.  I can't seem to know, why, though I do love teas (all kinds of them), I never really fancy this one.

Allow me to consider the matcha as an ever-growing taste, it is by far the preffered taste of the millennials.  Now that matcha had become ubiquitous, everyone wants to get a load of it, excluding me, hahaha.
