Hooch Up with not just Booze but with Good Food at Hooch

"Ah. maiale!"

I could hear my mother telling me off in my head after gobbling off  not just three dishes for a snack. Partnered with five different cocktail drinks from the bar, together with my husband, we were treated with Hooch's best-sellers and mainstays and went burping our way out of the restaurant.

The Traveling Trunk at Artelano 11

This is one of those opportunities that I almost would have taken for granted again, like many others that have gone by that I have rejected not pursuing so.

This day (June 12)  marked the last day of The Traveling Trunk's Filipno Collection Edition.  Another well-curated collaborative fair with  Artelano-11.

It was great that even at the last minute, together with my two girls, we got to see the compound and experienced a different fair.   We did finally see the Henry Hotel and some of the houses renovated and transformed as Eric Paras' showrooms and galleries.

We Opted to be Active for Father's Day

Our dads will always hold a special place in our hearts, my Papa has!

Papa is my superhero, he made sure no bad guys could ever hurt us, the coach who patiently taught us how to fly a kite and ride a bike, and the best friend who always made us feel special even after a long day at work.

Now in his 60's I can tell he is slowly approaching his twilight years. sad but we have to accept reality.

Proactiv: Adam Levine's Secret to Confidence

Your sugar
Yes, please
Won't you come and put it down on me?
I'm right here, 'cause I need
Little love, a little sympathy
Yeah, you show me good loving
Make it alright
Need a little sweetness in my life
Your sugar
Yes, please
Won't you come and put it down on me?

I've always been one of those women who swoon over the "Sexiest Man Alive” of 2013 with his hot looks and remarkable talent.  Men too aspire for the same kind of charisma  and confidence that he evokes.

Ladies, you know who I'm talking about, that's one of his songs right up there and I can't stop humming it in my head.  Yes!  It's Adam Levine.

Main St. at Tuscany Using my Gourmet Society Card

As mentioned in the title head, I have two things to discuss here, first, the Main St. Restaurant and my very reliable, Gourmet Society Card.

Two things that kept my birthday lunch worth-having and treasuring.

Main St. Restaurant at The Tuscany, McKinley Hill

Apparently, dining at Main St. Restaurant was accidental.  As I was trying to choose where to eat with my family for my birthday lunch last March (yes, this is a long overdue experience that I've been meaning to share you) after our comfortable stay at Crimson Hotel Alabang) I decided to use my Gourmet PH phone app. and it led me to some restaurants "near me".  Since we were on our way to The Fort, Wowa Kitchen, Main St. and a couple more showed up.  I firsr chose Wowa Kitchen, but they were close that day so we decided to go to McKinley Hill and visit Main St., which was on the suggested list of Gourmet PH.

Samsung Twin Cool Refrigerator: Because We Want to Keep Food Fresh up to 2x Longer

In my world, nothing says more about living a fast-paced life than stumbling here in my blog.  It's all about keeping my family healthy, well-fed with delicious food, writing about these dishes and the products that goes into it and more.  That is why, like many "super-moms," such households  call for a reliable house partner that moves with the times. I do believe modern families need extra help to do daily chores more efficiently to spare more time and energy for moments that matter.

It's good to know that we can rely on Samsung’s Digital Appliances, being a trusted and dependable   partners for time-pressed professionals who strive to balance work and family time.  This commitment to efficiency is evident in Samsung’s Twin Cool Refrigerator, which ensures that food stays fresh up to two times longer. This means fresher, better-tasting food at the table and fewer grocery trips for multi-tasking homemakers.

Samsung’s innovative Twin Cooling System controls the refrigerator and freezer independently, which brings superior energy savings and capacity for  wiser consumption  with each compartment set to its optimal temperature.

Unstuffed During our Stay-cation at Greenhills Elan Hotel Modern

Have you heard of "unstuffing" your life from all the physical, emotional clutter that have been weighing you down?  Modern life just makes us so stuffed with physical clutter that has been filling up our home and getting overwhelmed by the things that goes on in our lives.

These comes in overbooked schedule that sometimes feels out of your control. Then you become frustrated by trying to live up to other people’s expectations, of what your home is supposed to be or how you need to run your business or do your job, worst on how you should be the "super mom" you want to be.

The Sunday Roast with Hubby at Chelsea Grand Cafe

Now that our kids are independent enough to be left at home and take care of the dogs, hubby and I can go on date nights. With that, I could totally say, "Ah, this is life!"

Bhogs and I have been strangers to date nights and "us" times for a long time.  Having four kids is such a challenge and we've been through terrible moments.  But blessed as we'd be, we were able to manage through, as many other parents would as long as they remain in love and in faith with each other.

Win 3 Days and 2 Nights Stay at the Bellevue Bohol with Jeunesse Anion Testimonial Promo

It's the middle of the year and I'm counting down on when the school starts, however, my thought remained perpetual- our next family get-away. I've always loved Bohol and my family and I won't get tired of its pristine beauty and powdery white sand beaches.

If you're with me on this thought, then you're in for a treat!

Because Burger McDo has Changed for the Better

Have you seen the newest McDo commercial?  Can you relate to it?

Though I didn't experience the hurt the girl had to go through and most other girls and women, I know the feeling, to be rejected, to feel you're not enough, to feel like you're at a wrong and to feel unloved.  Thankfully, McDonalds always get us through.

True enough, because McDo understands our needs through the changing times, McDonald’s introduces the latest change in one of its all-time favorite products. Your beloved Burger McDo is now made with beefier and juicier patty, tastier and sweeter sauce, sandwiched in a soft bun.

A Moment of Stylish Living with School of Styling Philippines

I've always thought that styling isn't for me.  For one, I'm not stylish.  I share the admiration with people who's steadfast in making an event or just any nook an eye-candy but I'm not that creative however I can, with practice copy someone's craft.  I know deep in me I have that eye for beautiful things and I have been to that era when all I'd do is to cut colored papers, pick fabrics for the home and cross-stitch half my day away while my babies are sleeping.

Now that I don't have the luxury of time designing parties for my kids, I'm sure in one way or another I would need to pull out any hidden creative skill to enhance something, say a special dinner for my friends and family.

Afternoon High Tea by Twinings at Cafe Midori

I was once asked if I was a coffee or tea drinker, I was caught unaware really.  Why do I need to choose?  I love drinking both, sometimes, I'm in the mood for a home-made espresso or a drip-coffee from a third wave coffee bar, but sometimes I just want to cozy up at home with a warm cup of tea.

But when I really have to choose, I would weigh it perhaps with each health benefits.  And arguably, tea it is.  Accordingly tea contains antioxidants and compared to coffee, it has less caffeine.

Healthy Mommas Retreat on Mothers Who Brunch's First Anniversary

I'm a self-taught nurse, alternative medicine practitioner, cook, baker, even gardener and a teacher (however, I did take up BS in Education at DLSU).  Most moms are!  We, moms, are the first person our kids go to if they feel something wrong within them.  Most of the time even handling first aid becomes an instinct only to see our loved ones relieved from pain or from a problem.

All that and more.

Pampanga has taken a cosmopolitan make-over.

Holding fast to Pampanga's heritage charm is a new modernistic hotel that boasts of unparalleled luxury.  It may be a compelling distinctiveness, the old and the new, can somehow work in a manner that can not only bring more tourists but also enterprise.

Come July 1, Midori Hotel will open its doors to the public alongside its in-house casino and a medley of different facilities.

How Far Up North can P1,500 Bring us?

I've learned from a fellow mom and blogger that we needed to be in the sun longer hours to feel the full effects of vitamin D (20 minutes of exposure to sunlight is enough), there’s no doubt that in the same way that the cold and dark of winter or rain makes us unhappy.  It's feeling the effects of seasonal affective disorder, known to a few as SAD, thanks to sunshine, it's warmth generally put us in a much better mood.

A beach break is a great way to relax and enjoy the health benefits of the sun. Admittedly, this is more of a short-term boost, but a healthy glow makes everyone feels better and lasts for a few weeks after your trip is over.

Though I'm a typical beach bum, I know that a province boasts more than the sun and sandy beaches.  Also, I would agree to many that going far to get that vitamin D from the beach entails a big budget.

So I'm going to break that myth.

Alqueria Thinking Outside the Box with New Exciting Menu

When often asked about my take on fusion food, I always fail them with an answer I'm not a fan, but it pays to experiment on trying it out once in a while.

Perhaps it's the thing with the rigors of preparing contemporary dishes add to that the techniques that have been used for us diners never to delve in to.  I could never pull off a deconstructed something in the kitchen or even froth my own milk for a home-made cappuccino.

In spite of those, I do believe that cross-cultural culinary mash-ups have come a long way from the wagyu burgers and matcha shakes of decades past.

For some it may be a taboo but for adventure-foodies like me, it's always a welcome scene.  And I'm more than glad to share you Alqueria's Spanish-Asian cuisine.

Sony Channel's The Art of More + An Auction Experience

Question:  Where do you find rich people, sipping endlessly on out-pouring wines, and bidding on vintage and lavish lots?

Answer: Auction

If you've thought of the same word, then, the bid is yours!

I've always dreamed of myself to be in an auction someday.  I knew it would be far from reality, for one, I'm not that confident in bidding my money (which may not be substantial), also, I may not be that knowledgeable in the value of such an item.  Though I do know that if a thing is to be auctioned, it better be pretty valuable and what that seemed to leave people wanting it.
