Maternity Boudoir Photography with Seriously Boudoir

I can't find any reasons why women don't want to have themselves glammed up or even consider having their photos taken professionally.  If you are hesitant because of fear of judgement, or self-doubt, don't.

If I were to talk to my 20 or even 30 year old me, I could have advised to do a sexy shoot or a "boost-your-confidence photo session" and the one that Seriously Boudoir offers is the best of its kind.  But you know, I was so surprised to find myself projecting to every click of Joy's camera.  I actually found it fun, a bit tiring for a preggy mom at her 40's, but fun.

This #Realmom Speaks Her Heart Out, Thanks BabyDovePH for the Reminders

Please tell me to never feel guilty for starting again.

I can’t wrap my head around the fact that I have wronged the family for being pregnant again.  It came to us as a surprise, I felt scared and wary at same time.  Giving birth to four amazing humans seemed I have cheated death that many times.  Now, I'll be dealing with all the pregnancy hullabaloos all over again.  It's so ironic feeling alone (but we are actually two lives living in one body, duh!), and how it felt so unfair.  "Can I hear Amen among the crowd?"

How Our Family Got Korean Visa Despite NOT Having ITR's

Don't you just think airline companies has multi-faceted ways of luring you to buy flight tickets to one of the world destinations you have been dreaming off?

I've been sober from impulsive buying for a decade already, and being a learned frugal mom, I now know where to put our hard earned money.

Insurance investment and T-R-A-V-E-L.  Want me to spell it again?

"But traveling isn't cheap," as most would argue but it's one of the best investment you can gift yourself and your family.  Education should not be contained inside a four-walled room, kids will learn more through experience, culture and history.  History can be tangible and is not just written in textbooks.  My four kids would attest to that.

Raintree and Restaurants Against Hunger

Malnourished children, hungry citizens of war, kids with stunted growth, poor drinking water access, roadblocks to living a decent child life...

These are words that break my heart every time, I read or hear about them. I can't bear it, to see my own kids or I, myself, even in that situation, when it is hope that you only cling on to, even if you don't know if you will have something to eat in the coming days or would those days be worth living.

Sometimes, as much as you'd want to help, things get in the way - being busy with our family, work or you can't just find time to extend the proper help needed, or maybe we just have way many excuses to be good Samaritans.

Duty Free Philippines and TESDA Relaunched Kabuhayan Shopping Program for OFW/Balikbayan

Being an OFW daughter, I've grown accustomed to Duty Free-bought pasalubong and I've often disregarded the benefits of Duty Free or tax-free stores and have thought of it as like regular shopping stores, but with imported products and Balikbayans' are only qualified to shop.

My father have been working abroad since my youngest brother had been born, I could hardly do the math but it probably would be more than 30 years. My mom left for Italy since I was 12 and up until now, eventhough she is not working there anymore, she's still living there.  I could still remember how excited we would be if some relatives would come home from outside the country and would invite us to shop with them at Duty Free.

Woven Voyages: 8th LIKHANG HABI TEXTILE FAIR 2018

What does it mean when you buy something made locally?

According to the author of the book Going Local, Michael H. Shuman, "when you buy local, it means you are nurturing locally owned businesses, which use local resources sustainably, employ local workers at decent wages and serve primarily local consumers. It means becoming more self-sufficient and less dependent on imports. Control moves from the boardrooms of distant corporations and back into the community where it belongs.”

In the spirit of National Heroes Day, LG Electronics reaffirmed its longstanding commitment to providing assistance to the community with a donation-in-kind to the Victoriano Luna Medical Center (VLMC), a government hospital that provides sanctuary and support to injured soldiers, including those who suffered casualties in the Marawi siege.

AGREA Hosts Leaders and Entrepreneurs in Agriculture Forum (LEAF) 2018

“The ultimate goal of farming is not the growing of crops, but the cultivation and perfection of human beings,” as said by Masanobu Fukuoka, a wise Japanese farmer and philosopher, who believed in and advocated natural farming and re-vegetation.

In the face of climate change and rising populations, most would consider agriculture a “one-way ticket to poverty.” Yet with new technologies and curious mindsets, professionals from all disciplines are stepping up to the challenge of food security in the 21st century. In Asia and the U.S., farmers are increasingly using drones for crop monitoring. Meanwhile, city residents from Bangkok to New York have developed urban gardens. Viewing agriculture as a field with abundant possibilities on and off the farm, these emerging leaders are expressing loud and clear: the future of farming is now.

100 Years of Famous Dogs for the National Dog Day Commemoration

Our dogs are part of our family and they are part of our priorities as they just love us unconditionally, they comfort me and my kids and provide joy to us.  But like all the other member of the family, you are also responsible for them, in return for their loving service (of being a guard dogs) we are to take care of them .

Why I've Decided to Count on Pamora 100 % Free-Range Over Commercial Ones

Our family's love for chicken is divine and profound that we don’t usually tolerate anything that comes in the way of our greatest guilty pleasure. Haha!  That said, I've been meaning to change to a healthier lifestyle hence I joined Green Peace' #LessIsMore campaign and sure enough, I can gladly throw off pork and beef eating.   But with chicken, it's a whole lot different story.  Come to think of it, if you check my disorganized   RECIPE PAGE, the savory recipes are composed mostly of chicken as main ingredient.

Nakiki-Millennial at #Momtribe Meet-up by Millennial Moms at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel

It is crippling.
That Love.
Even when I wish to escape it because of crying.
The love now, it's everywhere.
I soak in it's light. And other times, it's still dark.
But I'm better with the darkness now than ever before.

Felt a thug on my heart while listening to the song, Say You Won't Let Go, a song by James Arthur about a guy's love. Hence, the poem.  It's not mine though, but I deeply felt the mother's ache seeing his son growing so fast, that even in her hardship, of mothering him, she still chooses to be in that situation.

A Whiff of Modern Freshness and Simple Elegance

Ladies and gents, let me ask you, do you remember the shirt your first date wore? How about the brand of shoes? Would she be carrying a bag? Wore a piece of knock out accessory?

I bet you won't recall any of those!  Coz, try as I must, I too, couldn't remember what my first love wore, but one thing I couldn't forget, except for his face and being a gentleman, his scent, the perfume he wore.  Until now, whenever I get a whiff of that on my husband, I remember...

Ang Huling El Bimbo, A Tale of Friendship, Tragedy and Love, Interweaved Through Songs

Kamukha mo si Paraluman
Nung tayo ay bata pa
At ang galing galing mong sumayaw
Mapa boogie man o cha cha
Ngunit ang paborito
Ay ang pagsayaw mo ng El Bimbo
Nakakaindak, nakakaaliw
Nakakatindig balahibo...

Went home a little late last night with my husband, eyes bloodshot, tried as much to subdue my emotions and forbade myself to well up, with the ever present lump on my throat, I rested on the truth that others felt the same as seeing them touch their faces, as if trying to hide the same sentiments.

World Meat Free Week for Healthy Environment

We all eat. right?!

That's unquestionable and undebatable.

But the question is? Are we eating the way we should be? Are we aware of the impact or the issues of what we put on our plate?

Every day, we munch, grub, consume food multiple times a day, understanding the impact of our food choices (and not just on our waistlines) can be pretty important too, you know.

Realizing this and many other things concerning eating less meat and more vegetables, after being invited to attend a pre-campaign project with Greenpeace Philippines, I decided to get involved somehow as they promote #DIETFORCLIMATE.

AllHome Mother's Day Workshop

Presumptively, just a probability, in my past-life, I could have been an interior designer, that's if the term even existed 100 years ago, or something in that sense.  However, back in the days, when the only art I know is finishing a hard cross-stitch pattern (after having amass almost all the colors of DMC threads), design was a term that never existed in my "mom-thoughts."

The Modern Family as Celebrated by LG

In today’s world multi-tasking and competing demands for our attention is ever prevalent. Parents often feel stressed, rushed and pressed for time, especially when both Mom and Dad work long hours at the same time juggling family commitments.

Finding Your Tribe? The Struggle is REAL!

Bumped into this IG account- smallgirlbigglobe, while browsing over my social media accounts. In her newest post she expressed, "The woman who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. the woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has ever been before." These are actually Albert Einstein's words as she quoted.

Equivalently, an FB friend of mine announced in his timeline that he's about to UNFOLLOW some accounts, while me on the the other hand was killing my hands and fingers trying to connect to more people.

Growing Your Own Food from Seed

Some of us have a primal urge to get back to our roots and learn how to become more self-sufficient. Others are content to go to the grocery store and purchase fruits, vegetables, and other unhealthy processed foods at the checkout line. Still, others want to be able to take the seeds that create life, plant them into the ground, and ultimately have a harvest of great tasting fruits and veggies that they can eat all year long and share with family and friends.

Lessons LIFE Taught Me for 42 Years

You've heard it right I'm already 42 (March 20 was my birthday, haven't you known) and I never denied my age,  but I try to conceal it, I'd to thank good health, contentment, and love for that.

Again, many would be surprised if I tell them my age and I always get this statement, "You don't look your age!" And I would joke like "Oo nga parang 39 lang" (when I told them I'm already 40). Many would say, age is just a number, I couldn't agree more, but I'd rather use this thought - As we grow old, We grow riper.
