McCafe at the BGC Arts Center

Words and photos by Gene Rose Impang

Have you noticed the changes in McDonald's stores as of late?  Notice the hip yet classy cafe-like ambiance?  McDo is continually improving  and had once again set a benchmark in concept cafes and just recently had launched it's newest store at the The Fort.

McDonald’s Philippines’ CEO, Mr. Kenneth S. Yang himself gives insight of their newest venture. “First thing you’ll notice is that this McCafé is different from other the McCafés we have which are inside a McDonald's restaurant, so today you’ll experience a McCafé living on it’s own, and situated here at the BGC Arts Center.”

“We are here at the BGC because we want to cater to the lifestyle here, there are a lot of working people here who are looking for places or havens that are warm, comfortable and cozy.” he further exclaims.

McDonald’s took inspiration from the vibrant and bustling environment of Bonifacio Global City in designing McCafé BGC Arts Center. To fit in with BGC’s vibrant surroundings, geometrical elements were used in the store’s interiors, making it feel more alive and dynamic. The use of geometry also ties McCafé BGC Arts Center with the overall structure of the artistic hub. Customers can enjoy the artistic elements found inside the store.

“With all of these furnishing I think people will find very relaxing and very conducive to conversation while having your coffee.” says the CEO, Mr. Kenneth S. Yang.

McDonald’s Philippines’ Menu Innovations Manager walks us through the menu of McCafé. Patrons can enjoy a wide array of specialty coffee drinks, cakes and freshly baked pastries, some of which are exclusively available in McCafé BGC Arts Center and the McCafé located in McDonald’s Tagaytay Calamba Road only.
