Divine Desserts from KatsHappyFood

Have you ever heard of the word "procrastibaking?"  It's when you have a million things to do but sets them aside and bake.

Hahaha, that might be one thing I have in common with a pastry chef I know.  Or probably not!  She might be more responsible and discipline than me.  Well, this young chef have been professionally trained abroad at Hotel Fitz Roy in France and had been under the tutelage of none other than Dominique Ansel's Bakery in New York!  Duh! Remember the famous cronuts? They were made famous by them and they were the ones who have invented them.

Procrastibaking or not, Chef Kats know her craft too well and she's ready to take on the business and have pushed on with KatsHappyFood.

I've actually known Katrina Chua for years already and her sister Iris too, as I would bump in to them during food events. We also sold pastries together with some other merchants way, way back when Ateneo Marketing students held a bazaar at Ayala garden.

According to her, she started in 2011 out of her love for baking as she grew up in the kitchen and had been participating in culinary workshops.

Quality culinary delights, as what she wants to stress out. This means she only uses natural ingredients and warrants that she bakes by demand therefore every batch is fresh,

Let me share you some of her creations.

Red Velvet Cupcake with vanilla cream cheese frosting (P 80)

Chocolate Cupcake with luscious mocha buttercream

Classic Chocolate chip cookies and Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

A sample of fruit tart

 No-bake Oreo Cheesecake

Classic Brownies

 Orange Rum Pound Cake

My ultimate favorite is the Orange Rum cake and the Fruit Tart.  She was able to up the pastry game with nature's comfort food-fruits.

The orange loaf was moist and buttery.  The orange zests gave distinct flavor and aroma, it's like a breath of fresh air from the usual chocolatey desserts we have.

Both the orange cake and the sable pastry tart has that right sweetness without giving me the guilt of having too much sugar in what one would eat.

Refer below for the list of the products and their prices.  Note the order lead time is 3 to five days prior to pick-up date.
