PATA Travel Mart 2012

The travel junkee in me is so trying to come into open.   Sometimes I just don't know where my feet will  bring me to next.   Also, with my husband planning out where to visit next for a family trip, it is just so nice to be aware of the places here in the country that's awaiting to be discovered.  Also, having to know several agencies that can assist you in exciting travel destinations around Asia, is a big check for travelers even the so-called backpackers.

So It was a blessing to observe how PATA, Pacific Asia Travel Association, do their work.  Last September 28, at SMX Convention Center at MOA buyers and sellers conveyed and had every country member represented with magnanimity in design, theme and frivolous opportunities.

The PATA Travel Mart is Asia Paci fic's premier travel trade show that offers unparalleled networking and contracting opportunities.   Since its establishment in 1978 in Manila, PATA Travel Mart continues to attract hundreds of international buyers and sellers across the world.   It provides a perfect opportunity to showcase and source latest products and services, and update the industry on tourism outlook and trends.

Philippines successfully won the bid over other strong contenders in the running. Manila hosted the very first PATA Travel Mart back in 1978, where over 300 delegates assembled to experience Asia Pacific’s first industry trade event. After more than three decades PATA Travel Mart still remains one of Asia Pacific’s leading travel shows, regularly attracting 1,000 delegates while still maintaining an exclusive B2B professional trade only format.

In the past, the Philippines has also hosted several key PATA events including the 29 PATA Annual Conference and Workshop in 1980; PATA Annual Board of Directors Meetings in 1989; the 47 PATA Annual Conference in 1998; the Chapter World Congress and the PATA Board of Directors Meeting in 2002.
