Long, long time ago, after attending an event near E. Rod., I came across this cute coffee shop as I waiting for a cab ride.  It was on a rush hour so I had to just ask my husband to pick me up as it was hard to get a ride.  As I was waiting for him, I took shelter at this cute coffee shop, with a Biblical verse as if trying to invite me in.

Kids Eat Free at Burgoo and Gumbo on Halloween

Kids eat free at all Burgoo and Gumbo outlets from October 28 to November 1.  Make sure the kids don their scariest and unique costume so they can eat free. Moreover, exciting treats, such as bagsful of chocolates and candies will be given to all kids who come in Halloween costumes.   Interesting and thrilling Halloween designs will be seen all over the place.  And to complete the ambience, the staff will also put on their exciting masks and costumes.

These words came from Kanye West, actually, and they do make sense, don't you think?

Being generous with good words for others is not only endearing but also refreshing, it refreshes your soul somehow.  And I believe every day is an opportunity to smell a flower.  So I did!

Together with my three daughters and my husband, we visited a cafe that not surrounds itself with utterly good and healthy food but with loads of beautiful flowers.

Hooch Up with not just Booze but with Good Food at Hooch

I could hear my mother telling me off in my head after gobbling off  not just three dishes for a snack. Partnered with five different cocktail drinks from the bar, together with my husband, we were treated with Hooch's best-sellers and mainstays and went burping our way out of the restaurant.

The name speaks loudly of itself and I couldn't be happier having it as a name.

JOY.

Were you like me who had been being teased every Christmas for having such as name?  That you'd hear the words of the song "Joy to world..." randomly from someone who begs for your attention.

Sigh...but it is also true that your name suggests who you really are.  Agree?  Guess, I just had to live it out and enjoy every moment until my loved ones last call me with that name.

Significant to this was the recent event, which was "amazable", btw, conducted by McDonald's as they celebrated the coming out party of the newly-improved Chicken McDo.

The Shrimp Shack of Manila

If Japan have managed to bring in ramens, Mexican restaurants now serving tacos and burritos, while Spain introduced tapas with Sangria pairing, the French have their macarons and boulangeries, and many others to mention. This time, Hawaiians have their share of the hodge-podge culinary that we have in the metro.  That's good news right? A different take from many foodies' ravings about keeping uptrend to what's new and about.

When a tourist reach Hawaii, especially at the island of Oahu, you will see unusually designed trucks with queues of people.  This are famous shrimp trucks selling dishes with, well, what else, shrimps.  For the record, I haven't been to Hawaii nor is it in my bucket list, but in dreams maybe. I just searched for Oahu, Hawaii and apparently, that's what they are known for.
