A Goal Digger in 2018 and for Years to Come!

I'm starting this new year headstrong.

We ended the year with this message from God, at the New Life the Fort service...

Deuteronomy 3: 18-20
18-20 I commanded you at that time, “God, your God, has given you this land to possess. Your men, fit and armed for the fight, are to cross the river in advance of their brothers, the People of Israel. Only your wives, children, and livestock (I know you have much livestock) may go ahead and settle down in the towns I have already given you until God secures living space for your brothers as he has for you and they have taken possession of the country west of the Jordan that God, your God, is giving them. After that, each man may return to the land I’ve given you here.”
God had shown us great things and small things in 2017 and I thank Him for both, yes especially for the small things (there are lots of them!).  I'm humbled by who God is in my life and I can see far better into our future, as long as I'm focused on Him.

My prayer for myself is that I will not be moved, that I'm grounded in His love and grace, knowing that I can almost grasp everything that is in store for me and my family.  I pray the same to you, you, whoever you are reading this.

With this, I'm redeemed and have the mindset of a goal digger.

A goal digger...

I'll be a person whom God had established a purpose, with Jesus as my shining beacon, I pray that His light shines upon me and that every step I make serves His purpose for me.

The world had this definition of a #GoalDigger - A person who surrounds themselves with the success that they desire.

I'll be a hypocrite if I say I don't desire success.  Who doesn't, even with just baking your first cake, you need to see success, right?  You needed to actually say it with much conviction, after experiencing.

I desire to be a successful Travel blogger and Food Blogger, but still the same mom my family know and love.

But, what does it mean to be successful while being faithful?

Harold Herring wrote an article about the 7 Keys of Being Faithful and Successful and the following is what I love the most.

Faithfulness is a habit that leads to success.
Success comes to the faithful.
We must be faithful. . .because He is faithful and He expects us to be faithful as well.
1 Corinthians 1:9 in the New Living Translation says:
“God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
If we’re made in His image and after His likeness (Genesis 1:26), then we should be doing what He does.  If He’s faithful to do what He says. . .then our goal should be to do as He does.

Some other definitions are as follows (credit from here).

A goal digger is a person that...
*desires wealth in all areas of life.
*seeks the secrets of the millionaire mind.
*has the smarts, optimism, integrity, and passion to do it themselves.

 Psalm 37:4 reminds us to...
"Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
Whether it be wealth, attaining happiness, getting that dream job, committing to your travel Bucket list (the list goes on and on), the Lord had already planned it for you, but to get it, you must wholeheartedly stay steadfast to the Lord.

That is the only practice I do and I'll continue with it until my last breath.  The Lord never failed me!

Let me end with this a continuation of Deuteronomy 3:20

23-25 At that same time, I begged God: “God, my Master, you let me in on the beginnings, you let me see your greatness, you let me see your might—what god in Heaven or Earth can do anything like what you’ve done! Please, let me in also on the endings, let me cross the river and see the good land over the Jordan, the lush hills, the Lebanon mountains.”
So, are you ready to cross rivers, mountains and face giants with me?
