Aperitif: More Than Just a Grazing Box

When you hear of grazing boxes or grazing tables, le Aperitif is one of names that would instantly stand out.

I first heard and saw their amazing boxes at Instagram and it is the top choice among party hostessess.  And when I heard about them opening up a store at SM Aura in BGC, I got excited to visit.

This time they've gone beyond cheese, charcuterie and sparkling wines.  At their store they have French pastries, the ever trending Dream Tin Cake, imported gelato from Italy, sandwiches and pasta on a cheese wheel.

The store is a grab and go concept, the French way that is. However, I've yet to try some of their charcuterie.  I've read that they actually serve a personalized grazing snacks in a cone.

Another interesting foodie concept they have fashioned is the gelato fleur or gelato flower.  A serving gets you to pick two gelato flavors and the staff will make into a flower.  You may have it topped with a chocolate or macaron.

I had blueberry yogurt and tiramisu.  The serving was so huge I almost given up on finishing it. But it doesn't mean that I didn't like it! I loved it!

I extended the indulgence by bringing home their bestseller Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake.

Tin cakes have been popular from quite some time last year and I bet, it still is.  But Aperitif made more luxurious.

An 8-inch in diameter chocolate heaven is enclosed in a gold Belgian chocolate shell, resembling a tin encasement.  The  triple layer chocolate cake is so fudgey that it is best eaten with a spoon.

Not too cloying, but it has that extra kick of premium chocolate and the exquisite touch of 24K gold leaf.
I hope they get a bigger place next time, where diners can stay a bit longer for full meals or snack.  The limited space they have in SM Aura can accommodate 4 to 5 diners inside, they also have chairs and tables outside.  The place is dreamy, btw, as if you were transported to Paris.
