Italy in itself is a place that people dream of visiting not only for its landscapes and monuments but most especially for its food.

Today, Tuscany is another place in Italy that has certain attributes that make it so famous around the whole world. It is known as the most attractive place in Italy that people must visit at least once. Tuscany is known for its well-cultivated wine and the rich culture it holds inside its wide area. It is the birthplace of some famous artists, scholars, and visionaries that have polished the world.  Hence, you must simply rent a villa in Tuscany and soak in the Tuscan vibes.

The trip to Florence came to me and my daughters by surprise but it was wonderful nonetheless.  It was part of our Tuscan experience early last year of 2017 and like many tourists, I was blown away by its majestic beauty, and now I have this deep yearning to go back and immerse in it some more.

A Few Reasons Why One Should Visit and Go Back to Venice, Italy

As I was writing this article, my heart missed a beat, and the dream I just woke up with kept on crippling in my thoughts.  In my dream, I was in Italy, alone somewhere, lost, flashes of conversations with Filipinos to get instructions on how to go and meet with my family were vague.

One thing is clear though, if ever I get lost in an island or somewhere, it has to be in Venice.

Venice, the floating city, "the city of mirrors, the city of mirages," "an orange gem resting on a blue glass plate," "Italy's mask," are just some famous words meant to describe this group of small islands.

All I know is that my father is going to take us to Venice and maybe we can also find a good place to eat lunch with my brother-in-law and a new found friend and sister in Christ, Elma.

An earshot of Venice, Murano, a small island, separated by a wide body of water from the main island.  The two-story buildings, all-charming canal houses, quaint streets, and picturesque views caught my attention immediately and made us all excited to bring home evidences of the visit to the island.  Until we reached the middle of the day, nearly famished, with my girls grumbling to have lunch.

Isola de Murano, a gem of an island, literally, is one of the string of man-made islands in Venice, Italy. It's a small island, separated by a wide body of water from the main island of Venice. and it's known as the glass capital of Italy.  When you check the map, it may to be close to each other, but it will take you about 45 minutes to get there. Even though it's small, the Venetian charm will definitely fascinate you.

When my sibs' friends found out that I'm here in Milan, they organized a dinner at one of the sought-after dining place in Milano.  They knew right away where to bring me so I can feel that sweet way of Milanese welcome with the Filipino\s touch of course.

Hence, we ate, but first we met up at Naviglio Grande and we all joined at Maya.

Duomo di Milano, A Guide for the Wanderers

No one is to leave Milan without ever visiting Duomo di Milano.  It's always the priority on the list of tourists, as it is iconic as the majestic history of Italy.

Hence, it was the first landmark my sister had us visit on our first day.  Together with my two kids, my sister, Wilma, who lived here for almost 20 years, brought us to Piazza del Duomo and we rode the tram on the 16th.  From Via Venosa, where they live, it's only 10 stops which took only 15 minutes.
