Eastwood City's CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL

Are you a chocoholic?  I am!  If you are one with me, then this event is for us.

Chocolate confections will be widely highlighted at Eastwood City’s Chocolate Festival on September 3 – 8, 2013.

This much-anticipated once a year festival in Eastwood Mall is already a can’t-miss event. Shoppers can satisfy their sweet tooth at the Chocolate Bazaar, located at the Eastwood Mall Atrium. They can enter the delectable chocolate village and enjoy delicious treats from a variety of stalls.

Cinq offers guests a variety of cakes, cookies and other desserts. Standouts include the mouth-watering Aurore, a chocolate tart with macadamias and caramel, the Pascale, chocolate and orange mousse cake and the Genevieve, chocolate and hazelnut cake with a crunch. On the cookie front, gianduja cookies, oatmeal & raisin cookies and chocolate with peanut butter cookies are available from Cinq.

At Mio Gelati, shoppers can have their fill of Italian ice cream with delicious chocolate flavors like Smores, Chocolate Overdose, Ferrero, White Chocolate and more!  Guests can also get different pastries and a Chocolate Spoon at CruKitchen – just mix with hot milk to create delicious white chocolate, strawberry white chocolate or dark chocolate drinks!

Check my blog about CruKitchen's chocolate spoon...HERE.

At Cakes & Bakes, guests can have a loaf of Choco Banana bread for a sweet snack. For a more decadent experience, they can try the Couer ala Crème, a flourless white chocolate cake that's smooth, creamy and even tastes like ice cream when refrigerated!

Guests can support our local chocolate industry at Choco Atbp., where they can get delicious tablea and rich hot chocolate mixes. At Risa, shoppers can purchase a variety of decadent chocolate truffles in flavors like Cookie Dough, Orange, Dark Rum and Classic, plus pralines in Hot Cocoa, Choco Mint, Hazelnut and more!

For a sweet taste of Europe, shoppers can drop by the Russian Cookie House. They offer Russian and Black Russian cookies, a chocolate cookie with a walnut at the center, covered with bittersweet chocolate and topped with chocolate sprinkles, lebkuchen, German bittersweet-chocolate-coated gingerbread cookies, Chocolate Vienna fingers and other treats from Europe.

Cupcake fans can satisfy their cravings at Baked by Anita, with their rich Espresso Truffle, Red Velvet and classic Chocolate Chip cupcakes.

At the Kitkat, Koko Crunch and Monde Nissin booths, customers can get free chocolate products. Kids also have the chance to take a photo with the Koko Crunch mascot. Clipper also offers chocolate lovers a variety of chocolate themed novelty items like chocolate pens, pencil boxes and even compact mirrors that look like chocolate.

To make the news even sweeter, this event is open to public, FREE entrance to the bazaar.
