"I keep my friends as misers do their treasure, because, of all the things granted us by wisdom, none is greater or better than friendship."
-- Pietro Aretino (1537)
More than a decade past since I last saw my "kababata", a childhood friend. A vibrant, sweet and "kikay" lady since then. Now a strong, promising and still voluptuous woman! Gina as what I've been calling her was one of my true to life confidante. I thank her for entrusting me her courageous stories, some of her life's struggles and triumphs. She knew me, in my innermost and understood me for what I am and I do feel the same for her. I have a lot, I mean a lot, of friends, but a true friend nowadays is hard to keep, due to busy lives, unbelievable lifestyles, etc. So it was such a blessing hearing from her and seeing how she have kept her beauty. Yes she still is a ravisher, after all those years. I wonder why?
Where else but at Starbucks, Paseo de Magallanes.
Hoping to see her again and hear her encouraging words...anyways what could FB and other social networking vibes can not do to long-distance friendship.
To my friend, Gina, stay as peachy as you are, not only outwardly but also on the inside. More chikas and chismax on the net, later.
Prayers, hugs and kisses!
