You may consider efforts to address the dynamics of food and wine to be somewhat frivolous, and you certainly wouldn't be the only one to think so. I, however, beg to differ as do the Philippine Wine Merchants. The term wine pairing was given light since time immemorial, but only a few get to experience it. Now, foodies are more excited to tie the concept up to their habitual food-gathering and I'm loving the idea too.
This being the case, Philippine Wine Merchants proudly brings us Dégustation on the 17th Grand Wine Experience. This will be an utterly culinary journey unlike any other as they try to take every guest through a vast spectrum of exquisite flavors from all around the world. Together with Marriott Hotel Manila catering, they promise to give us a total experience in the art and science of tasting and discover an endless compendium of pairings that would delight.
Imagine more than 500 varieties of wines, spirits, alcohols, and beers arranged according to countries of origin and carefully appraised nooks for food and cooking stations, all enjoyed over good music and a company of gourmands and wine-lovers.
To get a glimpse of what you could expect, do check out my blog from their last successful 16th Grand Wine Experience paying homage to the "Noble Grape."
