Food-lovers' Guide to the Next Gourmand Market by NawwTy's Kitchen

Manila is roost to every kind of food under the sun, from fine dining to killer sandwiches to specialties from every culinary culture. Steadily, the need for a change of scene in the food market is increasing. With the trending artisan and organic themes on the rise, purveyors have been actively participating and keeping us foodies so happy.

I'm so glad to share you a sneak peak into the much awaited fancy food fare, as Globe Platinum presents "The Gourmand Market by NawwTy's Kitchen."

Now on their 5th run, Dong, Trish and Dara had set the stage right at the cozy home of Trish in Dasmarinas Village. Joined by the purveyors, social media engagers and bloggers, the Bohemian-themed event was beyond expectations for what's supposed to be a picnic cum dinner.

Wouldn't you want to sip you fave drinks beneath this tent. These are Trish' collection of silk scarfs sewn together and hanged as a canopy above a nicely arranged set of equally fine furniture.

Dong, Dara and Trish are friends who share the love for gourmet food and travel. Trish' abode also hosts a collection of the things sge took home from her travels, eclectic but seems the merging of every big and tiny stuff melded beautifully, much like the assemblage of fine and comforting food from The Gourmand Market.

The past Gourmand Market have specific themes and all were unique and fab in their own sense, so you know what to expect on the next one which is scheduled on March 4 to 6 at Bonifacio High Street, BGC.

Refresh your weary souls with cocktails from Ebeneezers.

The pool bar, was made more fun with this tub of punch with fresh fruits such as lemon, lime and strawberris, the rubber duckies seem to float around merrily.

My drinks - Tea Time, a mixture of green tea, cardamom and vodka from Ebeneezer's and berry flavored ice tea from Jusa.

I ended my delightful dinner with a cup of Manila Creamery's hand-crafted gelato, everyone was quite surprised with the Tinutong (Burnt) Rice Gelato. Just one of the flavors that they have invented and an array of unique flavors on March 4 to 6.

Yes, wine by the glass is being sold there, perfect to partner your gourmet dishes with.

But if you're not into wines, craft beers from Stanford and Shaw Brewery Co. and Bottled Lemonade from Stellina's can drown your thirst away.

I love Catalan cuisine and this Paella Negra with Home-made Aioli from Nawwty's Kitchen was such a treat.

Another dish that's worth looking-forward to is Mushroom Asiago Chicken by Nawwty's Kitchen. Though full from all the food featured, this platter of savory baked chicken with milky and buttery sauce still won everyone's heart, the best was indeed saved for last.

All these food options are coming together under a single scene. “Eat Well, Live Well”.

It is with this philosophy that TGM wishes to offer you a weekend that will awaken your senses and create an insatiable desire for all things delicious.
