When I finally had a chance to go back to Boracay, I knew my husband would not hesitate to buy us the tickets to fly us to the said island. The most talked about tourist destination, Boracay, has been known to be an island paradise brimming with zest for life, while also a perfect place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
When I hear or read about Boracay, the first thing that comes to my mind is the crowded beach. Well for some reason, being an acclaimed beach destination, the famous beach coasts are well-visited the whole year round. Well don't get me wrong, you have loads of options on where to acquire a tranquil escape as hotels of your liking abound.
But little did you know that you can still enjoy the clear blue waters of the island away from the hustle of Boracay. Megaworld Corp. developed a township with its own beach coast, which also has white sand but with calm water.
I was hoping for a relaxing vacation but of course, I could not do away with my old notion of Boracay, the exhilaratingly fun water activities, vibrant shopping and nightlife, and stunning sunsets. What made this tour very fitting for me was discovering the community where Savoy Hotel Boracay New Coast sits. It's like Boracay had an alter-ego.
Savoy Boracay and its private beach area is such an idyllic place for intimate family events, where you can have the beach all to yourself while you indulge your guests, plus you get to enjoy the site of Cujo's Keyhole.
The Keyhole, Boracay's Hidden Jem
What could be the perfect background to highlight your beach photograph than the distinctive rock formation that has been shaped by the force of nature over countless years, resulting in a structure featuring a perfectly formed 'keyhole' at its center.
Newcoast is already open to the public however it still is not as widely known as some of the other attractions on the island.

We were so happy to have booked our stay in Savoy as they have shuttle services from the hotel to the cove and back without a fee. Outside guests can come over to see its majestic stand through the Hop on Hop off E-jeepneys and E-trikes for an affordable fare.
Superb Service
From the airport, you can immediately sense their kind of service, in a class all by itself, which starts with a courteous greeting with the right hand on the chest, implying respect and priority. Not until we arrived at the lobby that they exceeded my expectations even more. With a cold towel in one hand and a refreshing welcome drink in the other, all while being briefed on our stay and about all the specifics of our stay.
They also have Savoy Nights where you can have BBQ's along the pool.
It truly is a family-friendly hotel as I have initially read, where every stay can be truly memorable. The hotel can work with you on the kind of rest and recreation you feel. And it was the serenity that captured my heart where your soul can appreciate nature just by opening the window curtains while you sip your cup of coffee.
Hotel Room Accommodations
We stayed at the Corner Deluxe with a magnificent view of the two swimming pools, the beach cove, the keyhole, and the Fairways and Bluewaters' golf course.
Savoy initially opened in 2017 but had to close down during the Boracay rehab and pandemic time. So it's not really a newly built building, The rooms are situated around the pool so I'm guessing that every room has a pool view. But let me recommend the one we had.
If you check their booking website, you may want to book their Sampaguita Experience Room Package. Which we also had.
Sampaguita Experience Room Package
Sampaguita may be a small flower but it is worthy of our national pride. I first had the taste of sampaguita on an ice cream at Ilustrado Restaurant. Oh yes, it's more that it's fragrance, its essence can also be palatable. This offering from Savoy is a testament to the warm Filipino hospitality and top-notch creativity.
We were welcomed to our room with a sweet message card and this dessert plate consisting of Deconstructed Mango and Sampaguita Cheesecake and Sampaguita Polvoron. Then the Sampaguita Lychee drink was suggested to us by a Savoy Cafe staff and had that as part of our wonderful dinner.
Below are the what consists of the package. Be sure to check this unique offering out!
• Overnight Stay
• Buffet Breakfast
• Welcome Message written in a Sampaguita Note Card
• Welcome Drink | Sampaguita Signature Refreshment
• Sampaguita-inspired welcome token
Hotel Amenities
Aside from the beach, and the tourist attractions, one can settle lounging almost everywhere in the hotel. Like when they said "Make Savoy your home" they actually mean it. First off, their lobby just spells space, there are many cozy spots to linger at or if you need to wait for the shuttle.
Outside, the huge patio lies the swimming pools, two of which are warmed wading pools for the kids. The huge one faces the Chambrey Pool Bar, where you can drink your booze and have some grubs while you lounge your stress away.
With the Happy Hour ongoing this month, drinks are very affordable and truly refreshing.

On the other side of Chambrey is another pool where most of the pool parties and concerts happen.
During our stay they were busy preparing for the Halloween party.
So many Ig-worthy spots for your IG feed.
They also have a gym, a spa, several retail shops in the commercial area just at the side of the hotel, even our favorite 711 shop.
Will be sharing more on the rest of what's Newcoast can offer on a separate blog as there is so much more to share, along with our spectacular dinners at Savoy Cafe and Vienne Lobby Lounge for its Halal offering.
With a serene beach cove, impressive pools, pool bar, what else can you ask for?
Savoy Hotel is situated in Barangay Yapak, on the eastern side of the Island where nearby landmarks such as Puka Beach, Willy's Rock, and Diniwid Beach are just a quick drive away.
