Be a Smart Traveler in Manila with Holiday Inn Express

I tend to be a creature of habit, and even when traveling I inadvertently fall back into regular patterns. The same goes with my need for comfort whenever traveling.  Aside from comfort, there's also practicality where at times comfort and lux can be compromised, that may sometimes be the case unless I get prepared when it comes with the budgeting.  When getting hotel accommodations there are certain standards that has to meet our needs, but it does not mean we have to go to the same hotel brands every time.

That is why I believe and take note of some travel bloggers' life-saving hacks when all else fail.

But what if I tell you that a certain hotel can meet all your travel needs and without breaking the bank?  Now, that's what I call "smart travel."

I guess we can utterly say that the art of smart travel is realized when you stay in the all-new and first Holiday Inn Express in the Philippines.

One of the most compelling reasons to stay with globally-recognizable hotel brands is that you are given the assurance of particular standards of safety, comfort, and service.

This is the promise that travelers to Manila in the Philippines will get when they stay at Holiday Inn Express. A part of the Inter Continental Hotels Group (IHG), Holiday Inn Express Manila Newport City, joins Resorts World Manila’s (RWM) growing portfolio of international hotel brands which, include Marriott Manila Hotel, and the soon-to-open Hilton Manila, Sheraton Manila Hotel, and Hotel Okura Manila.

I was probably too excited when I said new, well, HIEx is actually the re-branded version of the old Remington Hotel building in RWM,  Holiday Inn Express Manila Newport City brings travelers its distinct  brand  of optimized hospitality with efficiently-designed accommodations and modern amenities, including bedside USB charging  ports and  high speed Wi-Fi routers in each room.“We have had a very enthusiastic response from guests who have experienced staying inthe rooms that have been upgraded to Holiday Inn Express standards,” says HT Cheah,

Expect many more changes happening in HIEx, as the transformation is still in completion. The rooms have been given a cooler interior design but they still carry the same comfortable living space and bedroom amenities. It may not be that luxurious but they assure the guests the same sleeping comfort like any other top-notch hotels would offer.  But they differ in that they are more affordable, but equipped with the best of life's modern essentials.  Plus, it still a walking distance from Terminal 3 airport plus being in the vicinity of RWM couldn't be even more pleasing.

I call their way to be in the thin line between boutique and hostel type of accommodation.  However, they are more likely to categorize themselves as a service hotel where the guests are encouraged to do their own laundries (with a laundry area which has coin-operated laundry machines), carry their own luggage conveniently, and be welcomed by warm and cheerful guests officers.

I was one of the the few people to witness the unveiling of the new name of this said hotel where officers of RWM and IHG joined as well, including Stephen Reilly, Chief Operating Officer, RWM and HT Cheah, General Manager of HIEx Manila.

General   Manager   for   Holiday   Inn   Express   Manila Newport City. “We've made their travel experience smarter by giving them everything they need, and more, where it matters most.  He talks about the amenities in the hotel such as the fully-equipped gym, meeting room, 24-hour dining isavailable through the lobby café where guests  also have a choice of enjoying a leisurely breakfast buffet or a Grab & Go packed breakfast if they need to be on the road early.

In IHG,  guests can also enjoy the many benefits of the world’s largest loyalty program, IHG Rewards Club and IHG Business Rewards.  ”Holiday Inn Express Manila Newport City is just a 10-minute walk from the Ninoy AquinoInternational Airport Terminal 3 via the Runway Manila bridge, and a short ride to and fromTerminals 1 and 2 via the free RWM airport shuttle.

RWM’s  location   makes  it   easily  accessible  to  and   from  the  central  business  districts  of Makati and Bonifacio Global City, as well as the cultural and historic hub of the Philippine capital of Manila.Conveniently situated within the RWM complex, Holiday Inn Express Manila Newport City guests   get   easy   access   to   the   many   thrills   at   the   Philippines’   premiere   integrated entertainment and tourism destination.

With Newport Mall just a short walk or shuttle ride away,   guests   can   easily   reach   dozens   of   dining,  shopping,   and   entertainment  choices, including the multi-awarded Newport Performing Arts Theater which is home to topnotch live entertainment shows.

I can't wait to share with you our staycation at HIEx!
