Cayet's Cabin: A Balinese Resort to Cure One's Ailing Soul

What do you do when disappointment comes?
Regrettably, picking oneself back up again is, easier said than done.  I know that it doesn't take any special talent to give up or lie down on the roadside of life and say, "I quit!" In fact, the road to chronic discouragement, hopelessness and despair often begins with an ordinary day that ends up piled high with simple disappointments.

When it weighs on you like a rock, you can either let it press you down until you become discouraged, even devastated, or you can use it as a stepping-stone to better things.  If you ask me, it has not been a walk in the park, but I was blessed enough to have my God show me awesome things that get me through every time I'm faced with such difficulties in life and learning how to stay calm when He says "No."

There are quite a few inspiring means on how to adjust yourself to disappointments, what our family do is to pray for it, wait on it and while waiting, retreat from life's harshness by chasing hidden dwellings.

Oftentimes, invitations from friends come in handy to get dibs on where to get shelter from life's storms.

Having discovered Cayet's Cabin was one that did just as what my husband and I had expected.   A reclusive Saturday with a few friends just needing to chill out and bond with kids and pets.

Cayet's Cabin Resort Villa is cloistered among numerous resorts that offer one valuable relaxation selling point - hotspring pools.

Don't be fooled by its simple, homey wooden gate, for beyond it a garden beckons, where your ailing soul gets the much-needed comfort and cure.

The private villa is inspired from Balinese gardens with a touch of Laguna country look.  Surrounding two pools, adult and kiddie pool, are lush tropical plants, ferns and mixes of colorful flowering plants local to Laguna.  The wooden doors concealing the maintainance room, the weathered wooden planks on the shower areas give you artistic contrasts from the cement walls.

Everywhere, you get to see design details that make up a Bali-look.  Antique lamps, wrought-iron decals, Buddha statuettes and potteries filled with floating flowers.

Also, incorporated with the fused Balinese-country cabin design are antique pieces, people at the same age as mine or older can relate to.

Really old and rusty flat-iron.

Your grandmas will sure be happy to see this olden sewing machine, manually operated of course.

The "picker" in my Bhogs can't get enough of the old electric fan at the dormitory room.

To see one of the 7 well-appointed rooms of the boutique resort and villa, kindly view my video below.

Pets are allowed in the resort as well.

Simple Asian accents tastefully grace each comfy rooms, well-maintained with a bathroom that has lukewarm water.  Each also has air-conditioning, wifi access, cable TV and security.

The resort has all you need for that exceptional family or corporate bonding, they even have the single detached open pavilion that has a kitchen with refrigerator, two-burner gas stove with LPG, an outdoor grill.  Inside the pavilion are open bar counter, powder room/changing room, cable TV WiFi, and Karaoke machine.
Me and m two girls
But above all the solace, the warm clean pools and the beauty of the surrounding are the company m family have shared the resort with.

Let's face it!  None of us are ever going to get to the place in life where we have no more disappointments. We can't expect to be sheltered from every little thing. Disappointment is a fact of life—one that must be dealt with.

Let me end with this quote shared by Elizabeth von Arnim, someone who chose to face disappointment and found a shelter in her garden.

“The garden is the place I go for refuge and shelter, not the house. In the house are duties and annoyances, servants to exhort and admonish, furniture, and meals; but out there blessings crowd round me at every step -- it is there that I am sorry for the unkindness in me, for those selfish thoughts that are so much worse than they feel; it is there that all my sins and silliness are forgiven, there that I feel protected and at home, and every flower and weed is a friend and every tree a lover. When I have been vexed I run to them for comfort, and when I have been angry without just cause, it is there I find absolution. Did ever a woman have so many friends? And always the same, always ready to welcome me and fill me with cheerful thoughts. Happy children of a common Father, why should I, their own sister, be less content and joyous than they?”

Learn to adapt and adjust. You can do it! Face disappointment at its onset and be quick to make any adjustments required to remedy the situation.  God has better things for you, and He will help you. He says in Hebrews 13:5, "...I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support...[I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down...."

Instead of concentrating on your problems and getting discouraged, focus on God and meditate on His promises for you. You may have fallen down, but you don't have to stay down. God is ready, willing and able to pick you up.

Do visit Cayets Cabin Resort Villa and set our mind, heart and acts straight!  God is waiting for you to allow Him to show amazing things that life can bring you.

  1. That's a really beautiful place. I love that they allow pets inside, being a pet parent is hard especially if you can't seem to find places where pets are allowed.

  4. Calamba is very close to Los Banos where my husband grew up. Will consider this place when we need to visit. Or perhaps when his sister comes home from the US for a visit.

  5. I haven't been to pansol in a long time. It might be time to go back this summer. This looks like a great place to bond with the family, like you said. Better than the huge resorts with a lot of people.

    1. Hello Dhen,
Yes, I do, it has ample space for reception and parking, but still depends on how many your guests would be. I suggest you call the managers.

  12. Every year I think about a few reports given by different experts all over the planet. Some are very essential and others are brilliantly wealthy in history and in the supernatural underpinnings that give significance to why we do, what we do.https://www.kiva.org/lender/FortisMedicalBilling112
