Curry Hummus for All Your Snacking

Our family loves our mini snacks (so as our big snacks) just as much as we love our three meals, but during this pandemic, only me and my husband (plus the baby) and one of our kids would either have breakfast or lunch.  As most of the time our kids are awake at night time (until the dawn strikes) playing online games or watching their favorite series. So, I have to leave them a hearty snack so that whenever they go out of their individual bedrooms they can find something in the fridge or the pantry to fill their tummies.

Of course, we always have something (like the dishes saved for them) for them, but for some reasons, they always look for the bread, the cereal or the chips and some spreads and dips to go with those.

You can guess what our fridge looks like, but my husband didn't stock up some chips but we have hash browns and fries for them to cook.  So I decided to make hummus to go with their waking up go-to grub but I elevated the recipe I use and added more flavors and spices, and it didn't disappoint all of us, in fact, I wished I have stocked up on more cans of chickpeas and tahini.

Any way, I'm sure you can find Incredible India in GRAB FOOD for you to buy the ingredients you need to make this.

You can find the basic HUMMUS recipe at this link which also has procedure to make Indian bread Chapati.  Basic Hummus and Chapati

Below is the recipe for super delish Curry Hummus.  This homemade hummus is creamy and healthy, great for vegan and is oil-free.
Makes 2 cups and easy to prepare in 5 mins.

RECIPE

Curry Hummus

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups Chickpeas or Garbanzo Beans
soaked and cooked or rinsed and drained from a can
1/2 cup Tahini
1 small clove of Garlic
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 tablespoons Curry Powder
3 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice from roughly 1 lime
   or Lemon

1/2 cup water

Fresh Cilantro for garnish

Procedure:
Add all the ingredients, except for 1/4 of a cup of the chickpeas and the water, into a food processor. Add half of the water and blend until smooth, adding more water as needed. Add more salt to taste.

Place the finished hummus in a bowl for serving and top with the remaining chickpeas and fresh cilantro.

Enjoy! Do let me know below in the comment section if you made this and how it was with you.
