Another Story, A Restaurant One Needs to Discover in Evia

Another Story is a restaurant that I may bear comparison to a treasure trove of trinkets from an Asian tour.  The owner recounts that this resto is one from her story book.  It was the lady behind the equally romantic cafe in Tagaytay- Cafe Voila, who made this happen.  She's Ica Sebastian.  By the look of her resto, it seems that you get to know a part of her and her favorite food.

If only I knew her, I'm sure I'll like her.

Apart from the somber-feel due to lighting limitations, everything is to be loved.  Every nooks and cranny are bedecked with either trinket from some stores or a quote or an artwork.

Eclectic, whimsical, colorful and dreamy.

No table has one kind of chairs, everything is a mix and match of some sort but actually worked pretty well.

Another story is indeed a treasure meant to be found.

Black walls turned Pinterest-y with a collection of mirrors.

Floor to ceiling unique tiles intermixed with wrought iron frames, wood, glass and differently shaped pendant lights.

Posts painted with mythical creatures.

I particularly have an adoration to this table near our where we were seated.  It was the vintagey details that had me staring at it.

Ceilings adorned with painted quotes.

Even the toilet have been made like a dwelling place.

If only I can have at least one of these door knobs.

Nuggets of inspiration are strewn all over.

If only I could seat in every spot, I'm sure there will always be something interesting to see and stare at, then drools.

The place is just awesome and the menu follows suit.  Menu-wise, it's just comfort food at it's finest, however, equated with a bit of an expense.  But service tops it all.

Let me begin with this complimentary serving of bread and dip basket that's just delish.

My kids will just die of envy when I tell them that I now have a verdict on where to have the best Carbonara.  Very filling and no scrimping here, loaded with bacon bits and cheese but while the pasta is coated well-enough with the sauce.

Together with a friend, Julie, we ate this plate of Hanger Steak bursting forth with savory and meaty flavors and the gravy that's perfect.  Lunch was super satisfying and I didn't even bother ordering dessert cause we were so full.

Dessert and coffee, the stuff I'll be coming back for and of course more from their menu.
